TRADED 05/22! This is one of the more unique basses from the 1970's. I used to see a few of these each year but this is the only one I have seen with the smoky plexi body. These sound remarkably similar to the Spector NS-2 basses from the same era! The plexi body just allows notes to ring forever and the PAF DiMarzio P pickups just add to the experience. It's a passive bass but you would never know it and controls include a volume & tone for each pickup along with switches for pickup selection, out-of-phase and dual/single coil switching. All hardware is gold-plated including the Badass I bridge and wavy Grover jumbo tuners. There's a price to pay here and the 12 1/2 lb weight is really not as bad as it sounds because the bass balances very well.
This is serial number 0028 and no more than 150 of these (mostly clear bodies) were ever produced, It's a playable piece of music history! Oh, the neck is beautifully figured maple with a jet-black ebony fretboard and 22 frets. Comes with the original hardshell case.
